This costume was a commission for a customer who wanted a stage costume for lightsaber fighting stunt shows.
The costume is made exclusively from natural fibers: ramie undershirt, linen jersey pants, hemp outer tunic, hand-woven English wool obi, cotton jacquard tabards, coat and tabards lined with viscose taffeta.
Details such as belt chains, jewelry, etc. are mostly handmade and removable to ensure stunt safety.
The collar and armholes of the under tunic are machine embroidered.
The tabards are specially dyed together with the fringe trim. Inside, there is a weight band to create an elegant drape when in motion.
The costume uses various discreetly placed fasteners and Velcro strips to ensure a perfect fit on stage – for example, all bracelets have been manually fitted with silicone tape on the inside to prevent slipping. The obi has several invisible belt loops that guarantee a secure fit for the leather belts. The under tunic is connected to the upper tunic at the shoulders via a loop system with buttonholes to prevent it from slipping off the shoulders, but still allow a certain amount of freedom of movement without shifting the entire costume every time the arms are raised.
Some of the belts are original vintage leather goods.
The chain is made of real wild boar teeth provided by the customer.
