Commission for SaberForge, a retailer of high-quality replicas of Star Wars lightsaber weapons. They wanted three themed costumes to be displayed on alien mannequins to promote different lightsaber models. I was responsible for everything from design to manufacturing to weathering.
I had free rein in designing this outfit. The mannequin was to represent a Mon Calamari, a member of an aquatic, fish-like species, so I chose a color palette with ocean motifs reminiscent of a sandy beach. I used textured silk and linen fabrics to stay true to the natural theme of the outer tunics, while the inner garments are made of flowing blue linen blend to convey the feeling of the ocean.
The costume was then lightly weathered with paints and airbrushing.
